This beginner-friendly class explores the art of handbuilding. You’ll learn pinch, coil, and slab construction techniques to create ceramic wares and sculptural forms. We’ll also use studio tools like the slab roller and extruder to expand your possibilities.
Weekly breakdown:
August 9: Pinch and coil construction, introduction to studio tools
August 16: Soft slab construction
August 23: Hard slab construction
August 30: Glaze day!
All clay, glazes, firings, and open studio access are included.
