Ever wanted to try a pottery class? Our One Day Clay workshop is perfect for you! This three-hour wheel-throwing session is designed for complete beginners—no experience needed. It’s ideal if you want to “test the waters” without committing to a multi-week course.
Come solo, bring a friend, gather the family, or bring a special someone! You’ll receive step-by-step instruction, use of all materials, and we’ll take care of finishing and glazing your work after class. Every Friday, you can join us for a fun, hands-on introduction to pottery.
Wheel Basics — $185 per person
2.5 hours per class, 4 weeks
This introductory wheel course teaches the foundational skills needed for throwing pottery on the wheel. No prior experience is required. Over four weeks, you’ll learn:
Centering and throwing cylinders
Cylinders, bowls, mugs, and trimming basics
Trimming bowls and mugs, plus making handles
Glaze day — finish and decorate your pieces
All clay, glazes, and firings are included.
Handbuilding Basics — $185 per person
2.5 hours per class, 4 weeks
This beginner-friendly class explores the art of handbuilding. You’ll learn pinch, coil, and slab construction techniques to create ceramic wares and sculptural forms. We’ll also use studio tools like the slab roller and extruder to expand your possibilities.
Weekly breakdown:
Pinch and coil construction, introduction to studio tools
Soft slab construction
Hard slab construction
Glaze day!
